Hello, I’m Dan! I’m usually a dog person, but my better half managed to convince me to have a pair of cats in our home. I generally love animals, so there was very little arm twisting needed.
Therefore in April 2009, we got our first cat Tinker, and in May 2009 we got my first ever kitten Leia. Having never had a kitten (although I have played with a few over the years), I’ve found that kittens just love to play… as most animals do I suppose.
After a little while, we noticed that Leia quickly got bored of the toys we bought for her. So I started improvising and making my own kitten toys.
All of the toys I’ve made have been created by using bits and pieces from around the home. As a result, the DIY kitten toys have cost next to nothing to make. Many of the toys recycle something too, so there’s an eco-friendly benefit to making your own kitten toys.
Leia
Ultimately, these cheap kitten toys are designed to help keep your kitten happy and well-exercised. If your kitten is happy, they are also less likely to shred your sofas, curtains or carpets!
