On initial impressions, using a toilet roll tube might appear to be a joke! However, I accidentally discovered that kittens love playing with a toilet roll tube. I quite often find Leia chasing the toilet roll up and down the stairs for hours!
Equipment Required:
- Empty toilet roll tube
I’ve found that if you throw an object, kittens get very curious and will chase after almost anything. So when you’ve finished with your toilet roll, throw it around your lounge, dining room or garden in front of the kitten. Their curiosity will draw them to it, and after a while they’ll start batting it around with their paws.

My cats always love playing with a toilet roll tube. I also have stuffed treats inside one once and threw it around; they had loads of fun ripping it up for the treat.
